Design & Programming
Customer Requirements Analysis: Engineers review specifications (size, PCD, offset, load capacity, etc.).
Modeling: 3D wheel designs are created using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Programming: CNC toolpaths are generated for machining (e.g., using Mastercam or Siemens NX).
Rough Turning (Lathe Machining)
Material Preparation: High-strength aluminum billets (e.g., 6061-T6 or 7075 alloy) are selected.
Lathe Processing: The billet is mounted on a CNC lathe to remove excess material, forming the wheel’s basic profile (spokes, hub bore, and outer barrel).
Precision CNC Milling
Fixture Setup: The semi-finished wheel is transferred to a 5-axis CNC milling machine.
Detail Machining: Complex spoke patterns, chamfers, and surface textures are carved.
Tight tolerances (≤0.05mm) are maintained.
Deburring: Sharp edges are manually or robotically smoothed.
Painting & Surface Treatment
Primer Coating: The wheel undergoes automated powder coating or wet spray for base color.
Intermediate Sanding: Imperfections are polished manually or via robotic arms.
Final Coating: A second paint layer + clear coat is applied. Curing is done in a 180°C oven.
Quality Control (QC) & Finishing
Initial Inspection: Dimensional checks (hub concentricity, bolt hole alignment) and visual defects (cracks, bubbles) are identified.
Defect Repair: Minor flaws are corrected via touch-up painting or CNC rework.
Batch Sampling: Random wheels from each batch undergo.
Packaging
Outer Layer: Heavy-duty 5-ply cardboard box with reinforced edges.
Internal Support: Hard foam spacers lock the wheel in place to prevent movement.
Surface Protection: Soft pearl cotton wrap + plastic wheel cover to prevent scratches and chips.
